A camp with a mission

Our mission is to share Jesus with our campers!

If you want an unforgettable summer, then look no further than Camp Cherokee. Tucked away in the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York, you will find a place so beautiful that you won’t want to leave.

It’s beauty not only comes from the mountainsides, sunrises, and the foggy, glass-like lake; but from the friendships you will make and the spiritual growth you will experience. Campers always say, “There just isn’t a place like Camp Cherokee” because they find a slice of heaven here.

Home cooked meals, activities that embrace the outdoors, and times of worship help all people reconnect to Christ and the true meaning of life.

Need something different this summer? Why not experience spiritual growth, make new friendships, and learn to be a child of God at Camp Cherokee - the place to give you the “best summer ever”.

Best summers of my life hands down, both as a camper and staff. I developed friendships and made memories that have stayed with me and I saw Jesus be REAL to me. Working in ministry is such a faith-builder. Being involved from my youth helped solidify my relationship with Jesus.
I spent so many summers here as a camper and loved it each year. I developed friendships I’ll never forget and learned about so much! I ‘ll never forget the weeks here and the fun I had!
It is really fun to play a lot outside for all the activities. Rain or shine, I loved it there!

REASONS TO JOIN US THIS SUMMER

Outdoor Activites

Whether you enjoy the water or the trails, Camp Cherokee has a range of fun outdoor activities. From the waterfront to horseback riding, crafts to archery. There is something fun for everyone.

Discovering God in Nature

Camp Cherokee is a Christian camp hosted by the New York Seventh-day Adventist Church. We encourage our campers to participate in morning and evening worships with memorable songs, prayer, and guest speakers.

Home Cooked Meals

We believe that healthy bodies come from clean and fresh food. That’s why we cook vegetarian and vegan from scratch each day. Have a food allergy? Just let us know and we’ll be sure to meet your needs.

Amazing Staff

Our staff are hand-picked to make Camp Cherokee a fun, unforgettable, and friendly place. Each staff member is trained in CPR and safety regulations to ensure that each camper is in safe hands.
